Shannon loves being a therapist and helping people find their own strengths to develop their most optimal life. Her goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment and tailor therapy to each person's needs, personality and goals.
While her approach is customized for each person, the theories she draws most heavily from are Family Systems Theory, Humanistic, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive/Behavioral therapy approaches.
Shannon's own struggles growing up make her a better therapist. She states that she was lucky enough to be introduced to therapy when the adults in her life were unable to make healthy choices. Her personal experience with counseling inspired her to become a therapist.
